Geology Workshop for Teachers - Hayward Fault
Math Science Nucleus and Northern California Geological Society
The Math Science Nucleus and Northern California Geological Society are hosting an Educator’s workshop starting at Tule Ponds at Tyson lagoon (1999 Walnut, 100 feet from Fremont BART Station) and walking the Hayward Fault to the Fremont Earthquake Exhibit. This event is intended for teachers and educators.
The tour and lecture will focus on the principles of plate tectonics and the science behind how faulting occurs. Examples will span from elementary school to college level, and show the sequence that is needed to understand the creation of the coast of California.
